This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) describes the type of information that SPIDR Tech, Inc. (the “Company,” “we” or “us”) gathers from users of the Company website (the “Site”) and in the normal course of its business, as well as how we use that information. The Company provides customer service infrastructure for law enforcement agencies, enabling law enforcement to have sustained and meaningful communications with crime victims, reporting parties, and other members of the community.
We occasionally collect Personal Information and other information from individuals who use and visit the Site. We also receive Personal Information and other information about individuals from law enforcement agencies that are our customers. “Personal Information” means information that can be used to identify an individual.
Information We Collect and Use
We collect and use information in the following ways:
Information Provided Directly – We may collect information that Users provide directly as part of sending us communications and questions through the Site. When a User contacts us, we collect the User’s name and email address, in addition to any Personal Information communicated by the User in the body of the User’s communication.
We use information provided directly in order to communicate with users of the Site.
Cookies – We may use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons, pixels, and clear gifs and third-party analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to collect and analyze information about users of the Site.
We use information collected from cookies in order to improve the functionality of the Site by, for example, preventing users from having to enter information multiple times.
Metadata – Metadata is technical information associated with user information, such as how or when information was collected.
We use information collected from metadata in order to improve the functionality of the Site.
Information Received from Customers – The Company provides customer service infrastructure to law enforcement agencies. As part of providing that service, Company receives information from law enforcement agencies, including but not limited to: (1) names, phone numbers, and email addresses of individuals who contact law enforcement agencies with whom law enforcement agencies seek to communicate further, and (2) information contained in reports of incidents to law enforcement, such as the addresses of alleged incidents, the categories of such incidents, and information about witnesses and suspects.
We use information received from customers to facilitate and assist customers in communicating with crime victims, reporting parties, and other members of the community. The Company complies with applicable laws with respect to communications with individuals.
Consent and Modification
As to users of the Site, use of the Site signifies consent to the terms of this Policy and to our processing of Personal Information in the manner and for the purposes set forth in this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change this Policy at any time, and any such change will be effective seven days following posting of the revision to this Policy on the Site. Your continued use of the Site seven days following such posting means that you accept those changes.
We will not share your Personal Information except as provided for by this Policy. We do not use Personal Information for building user profiles for commercial purposes, nor do we sell personal information. We do share information under the following scenarios:
Affiliates – We may share Personal Information with businesses that are legally part of the same group as the Company, or that become part of that group (“Affiliates”).
Third Party Service Providers – We may use contractors (“Service Providers”) to perform limited services on our behalf, such as hosting websites and providing email services.
For Service Providers utilized internally by Company, we require such Service Providers to adhere to the terms of this Policy, and to receive and utilize the minimum amount of Personal Information necessary to provide the service.
The Company may, on occasion, utilize a Service Provider to communicate directly with an individual – such as running a survey on an external website – in which case users are encouraged to review any applicable privacy policy of such Service Provider.
Compliance with Law and Prevention of Harm – We may disclose Personal Information if we have a good faith belief that disclosure of such information is helpful or reasonably necessary to: (i) comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; (ii) enforce any applicable terms of service, including investigations of potential violations thereof; (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud or security issues; or (iv) protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of the Company, our Users, yourself or the public. We may be required to disclose Personal Information in response to a lawful request by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements.
Reporting to Customers – We may provide an individual customers with analyses or reports regarding information provided by an individual customer on an aggregated and de-identified basis.

You have the right to request an accounting of all Personal Information that we have that pertains to you, and to be delivered copies of such information in electronic format (e.g., electronic copies of information attached to an email). We reserve the right to transmit information to you in a manner that complies with all applicable laws.
You have the right to request that we change any Personal Information that pertains to you that is inaccurate.
You have the right to request that we delete some or all Personal Information that pertains to you. We reserve the right to carry out such a request in a manner that complies with all applicable laws, such as laws concerning record retention. Note that fulfilling this request requires us to delete Personal Information in our possession, but that this right does not extend to Personal Information that has already been lawfully shared in accordance with this Policy.
You have the right to request that we cease processing any Personal Information that pertains to you. Note that fulfilling this request requires us to cease processing Personal Information that pertains to you in the future, but does not apply to lawful processing that has already occurred in accordance with this Policy.
You have the right to exercise all the rights afforded by this Policy without fear of retaliation or discrimination.
Business Transitions -- If the Company is acquired by or merged with a third party entity, or if it is subject to a bankruptcy or any comparable event, we reserve the right to transfer or assign Personal Information in connection therewith.
Security and Retention -- We follow generally accepted industry standards, including the use of appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards, to protect Personal Information. In particular, the Company complies with standards set forth by the Department of Justice regarding Criminal Justice Information Services with respect to the protection of Personal Information.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is entirely secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially reasonable means to protect Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security or confidentiality.
International Users – The Company and its servers are located in the United States and are subject to applicable local, state, and federal laws. Users who choose to access the Site do so on their own initiative and at their own risk, and are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. Users who choose to access the Site consent to the use and disclosure of information in accordance with this Policy and subject to such laws. We may limit the Site’s availability, in whole or in part, to any person, geographic area or jurisdiction we choose, at any time and in our sole discretion. We do not represent or warrant that the Site, or any part thereof, is appropriate or available for use in any other jurisdiction.
Children’s Privacy – The Site is neither directed to nor structured to attract Users under the age of 18. If you are under the age of 18, you are not permitted to use the Site. The Company does not knowingly collect Personal Information from users of the Site under the age of 18. If you are a parent with concerns about children’s privacy issues in conjunction with the use of the Site, please contact the Company at support@spidrtech.com.
Do Not Track Signals and Collection of Information for Third Party Advertising – The Company is required to disclose how it responds to “Do Not Track Signals” and whether third parties collect personally identifiable information about users when they use online services. The Company honors "do not track" signals and does not track, use cookies, or use advertising when a “do not track” mechanism is in place. The Company does not authorize the collection of personally identifiable information from our users for third party use through advertising technologies.
